 The Human Trafficking Prevention Project, working in partnership with Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, provides free civil legal services, including criminal record relief, family law, consumer debt/credit repair, and name and gender marker changes, among other forms of legal relief, to sex workers, survivors of human trafficking, and those populations put at highest risk of exploitation.  HTTP’s clients exist at the intersection of multiple different types of oppression, including race, class, gender, and gender identity, and often struggle with housing instability, substance use disorder, and complex trauma.
