ICON The Illustration Conference is the only gathering dedicated entirely to illustration and the people who live and breathe it. It’s four relentless-yet-invigorating days of learning, teaching, laughing, networking, and more. We start early and end late. And sometimes, there’s dancing.
ICON13 will take place in Baltimore, Maryland on July 15-18, 2026. The conference will be hosted at MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art). Other venues include the Parkway theater (Motion Commotion animation screening) and the American Visionary Arts Museum (Closing Night Party).

Roadshow
Our one-night-only, pop-up marketplace, Roadshow, is free and open to the public. Roadshow features artists’ books, zines, printed ephemera, artist multiples, handmade objects, and more from a diverse and impressive group of national and international exhibitors. It takes place Thursday, July 16, at 7 PM at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), located in the BBOX on the ground floor of the Gateway building.
Gallery Show
The ICON13 Gallery Show is a juried exhibition featuring work by ICON attendees. It is free and open to the public, Friday, July 17, from 8 PM to 10 PM at the Fanny Fox Decker Gallery at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), located on the first floor of the Fox building, to the right of Cafe Doris.
