Regional Juried Biennial Exhibition | Opening Reception

From August 21 to September 20, The Rehoboth Art League welcomes back the Regional Juried Biennial Exhibition.

On the evening of August 21st from 5-7 pm, the art league will be hosting an opening reception for this new exhibit, inviting anyone interested to visit the Corkran, Tubbs, and the Peter Marsh Homestead to see the displayed work.

RAL’s “Regional Juried Biennial Exhibition” returns for its 12th year with works from artists living in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C. This exhibition, which will take over the Corkran and Tubbs galleries, represents a strong collection of 2-D and 3-D works by emerging and master-level fine artists. Artists will be judged by Lynn Marsden-Atlass, a previous Executive Director who has worked for the Arthur Ross Gallery (2008-2023) and University Curator of the Penn Art Collection (2010-2023). Marsden-Atlass will choose recipients for the categories of Best in Show, Juror’s Awards of Excellence, and Honorable Mentions.

Lynn Marsden-Atlass will give a free Gallery Talk on August 22nd at 10 am in the Corkran Gallery to discuss her award-winning picks and other notable pieces from the 12th Regional Juried Biennial Exhibition. All RAL Gallery Talks are open to the public and exhibiting artists.

Through September 20th, The Homestead is showcasing “From Agriculture to Art: A History of the Rehoboth Art League” this special exhibition is in honor of the United State’s 250th anniversary, tracing the site’s history from its origins as an 18th-century farm to the founding and growth of the Art League. The exhibition features curated works and artifacts from RAL’s collection that highlight local, national, and artistic history, including Native American objects, early industry tools, and notable artworks tied to major historical moments.

These exhibitions are free and open to everyone during the regular gallery hours of Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday, noon to 4 pm.
