American Mosaic in Concert — A Freedom Square Benefit Featuring the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

Join the Baltimore Symphony and special guests including the Morgan State University Choir, under the auspices of artistic director Darin Atwater, and featured soloists Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four, for a milestone community collaboration at Baltimore’s Pier Six venue. Spanning Bernstein, Ellington, and more, the program moves across generations to explore the history, struggle, joy, and resilience woven into the fabric of American life, with narration, choral music, dance, and rousing symphonic storytelling. The evening culminates in violinist Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four’s American Mosaic, a vibrant musical portrait of America that brings together beloved melodies in celebration of our shared cultural heritage. This concert benefits the Beloved Community Services Corporation (BCSC) Freedom Square community initiative and the BSO, strengthening the connective tissue between community and music in (West) Baltimore and fueling programmatic expansion at both organizations.
