“I Am Mostly Love Now,” is a series of paintings from native Baltimore Artist Nova Shelley that concentrates on the female condition. The paintings depict severed heads in varies environments; landscape and still-life. The show also includes an array of her paper collages that will be available for purchase.
She studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art and graduated with a BFA. She also earned an MA in photography and design from Elisava School of Design, Barcelona.
Her work has been exhibited at the TIM Center, Venice, Italy; Cam Framis, Funacio Vila Casas, Barcelona, Spain; Cosmo Gallery, Arles, France; Grand Rapids Museum Of Art, Grand Rapids, USA. She has also received recognition from The Print Center and The Art Laguna Prize. Her work was featured in the Bmore Art Journal, Archival Issue, Nov 2019.
