Join us for a preview reception of Jubilee: Celebrating 25 Years of The Driskell Center

Join us in celebrating the landmark 25th anniversary of The Driskell Center with Jubilee. A yearlong exhibition featuring more than 70 works from the Center’s historic art collection, Jubileehighlights prevalent subjects, aesthetic trends, and concerns that Black artists have engaged with from the early 20th century to the contemporary moment. Look back on our history and forward, to the next 25 years and beyond! The exhibition is curated by Dr. Adrienne Childs (Ph.D. ’05). The opening is part of the university’s NextNOW Fest. It is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (msac.org), the University of Maryland’s Arts for All initiative, and The Driskell Center’s generous patrons.
