Transmodern Fest – All Week Long!

Bmore Music Picks is a weekly feature that highlights shows, concerts or events to check out in Baltimore (and the surrounding area). While it’s not a comprehensive events calendar, our picks are diverse and may highlight jazz, rock, folk, noise, punk, hip-hop, R&B, metal, experimental or just about any other sub-genre or style that helps make Baltimore’s music scene varied and vibrant.

Wednesday, September 24th – Miniature Tigers / Raindeer / Surf Harp
Metro Gallery, 1700 North Charles St. at 8:00 PM – $14

Miniature Tigers have been around for a few years and have managed to release a few really solid pop records. With Baltimore bands Raindeer and Surf Harp on the bill, this show should be a killer.

Windup Space,  12 W. North Ave. at  9:00 PM – $5

Wing Dam’s 90s style grunge compliments Goblin Mold’s dirty, surf-y pop beautifully. Get there before 9PM and you only have to pay five bucks.

Saturday, September 27th – Sean Wilson CD Release Show
Skatology Board Shop 139 Thomas St, Bel Air at 7:30PM – FREE

Take a nice autumn drive out to Bel Air to help Sean Wilson celebrate the release of his new album, Butterscotch. I had the privilege of chatting with Mr. Wilson a few weeks ago about his new album and I can say he’s equal parts great man/great guitar player. This show will leave you smiling.
