Closing Ceremony: Inquiries on Release and Other Paths to Liberty

Establishing new paths to abolish harmful practices is hard work — but with respect and care, we can build systems that uplift us all. Join us for the closing ceremony of IROPL, featuring Amendment: Knell of a Nation, a ritual performance and participatory art action drawing on the healing powers of water, fire, and earth.

Together, we’ll write offerings for a new social contract on seeded postcards, which will be planted and grown in a public garden — a place to return to, reflect, and find catharsis whenever the spirit moves you. Expect a day of conversation, reflection, and joy.

A few notes before you arrive: this event will be documented, and attendance means consenting to being photographed and/or filmed. All are welcome, including children. Bring water, food, games, and a blanket or chair. The event will be held at Lake Needwood, with the exact picnic shelter location sent to registered participants.
