This workshop offers an accessible introduction to experimental poetry through simple, hands-on techniques that take the pressure off the blank page.

Framed by Jessica Damen’s show Off the Page, participants will use constraint-based approaches, such as erasure and cut-up, to transform found text into surprising images, rhythms, and meanings. Designed for a range of experience levels, the session emphasizes play and experimentation. Participants can expect to walk away with several small pieces in progress or complete, along with a host of concrete methods that can be reused in their own practice.
