Bmore Music Picks is a weekly feature that highlights shows, concerts or events to check out in Baltimore (and the surrounding area). Thursday, October 16th – Brian Kooken CD release
An Die Musik,  409 N. Charles St. at  8:00 PM – $15 ($18 at the door)

I once saw Brian Kooken perform at a church up in the county back in ’05 and he killed it. That was long before I had any exposure to jazz, so I look forward to seeing him again almost ten years later. He’s a local and a a fantastic guitarist. Buy your tickets ahead of time in case of a sell out.

Friday, October 17th – Baltimore Folk Festival
Various Venues (Station North) starting at 7:00 PM – $20

I’ve been looking forward to this night of music for a while now. Most of Baltimore’s best folk and Americana musicians will be featured in the neighborhood-wide event on Friday night. Hour Haus, Liam Flynn’s, The Crown, Joe Squared and Windup Space will all participate. Check the schedule below for more details.
