BmoreArt’s Picks: Baltimore Art Galleries, [...]

Bmore Music Picks is a weekly feature that highlights shows, concerts or events to check out in Baltimore (and the surrounding area). While it’s not a comprehensive events calendar, our picks are diverse and may highlight jazz, rock, folk, noise, punk, hip-hop, R&B, metal, experimental or just about any other sub-genre or style that helps make Baltimore’s music scene varied and vibrant.

For a more comprehensive events calendar, check out the Culture FlyShow Space, or Weekly.Citypaper.com.

 nots

Wednesday, November 26th – Nots / The Gotobeds / Boy Spit / Leggy / Trunkweed
Windup Space, 12 W. North Ave. at 9:00 PM – $8

Trunkweed is surfy, Boy Spit is poppy, Nots are punky– this show presents a nice mix for Thanksgiving Eve. Go see music, have some libations and prepare for a turkey feast. That all sounds great to me.

mitski

Sunday, November 30th – Square Peg Round Hole / Mitski / Us and Us Only / Johanna Warren
Metro Gallery, 1700 N. Charles St. at 9:00 PM – $8

Kinsey Matthews, lead singer of Us and Us Only who are playing this show, called Mitski’s 2014 album, bury me at makeout creek, his favorite of 2014. After giving it a quick listen, I can’t say I disagree. This show will be a great way to close Turkey Day weekend.
