On Wednesday, stop by D: Center Baltimore for some back-to-school fun – work by teachers that explores their unique relationship with students. After, enjoy a free concert at Unexpected Art, a pop-up space in the Fitzgerald building on Mt. Royal Ave. On Saturday, head to sophiajacob for an exhibit and performance ‘Organized by Elspeth Walker’ from 7-10 and check out their newly renovated space. Bring your bathing suit to help bid summer goodbye with a bang – Glitter Thighs, part dance party, part gay cabaret, and 100% fun, will be hosting an event at the Tiki Barge till the wee hours. sophiajacob is pleased to announce an upcoming three-part program consisting of a gallery project, publication and performance event. Please join us at our Franklin St. location on Saturday, August 24 from 7-10 pm for the unveiling of our new space. Programming will continue at Floristree on Saturday, September 7 between 8-11 pm with a free event of experimental and durational performance featuring local and national artists. An accompanying compilation text will be available for takeaway at both events.
Between August 30 – September 14, sophiajacob will be accepting nocturnal visits Friday and Saturday between the hours of 7-10 pm. Walk-ins are welcome, or please call 443.692.7414 to make an appointment. An operator will be on staff offering live support.
