On November 1, 2025, BmoreArt will achieve a significant milestone, ten years of our semiannual print journal! The theme for Issue 20 will be “Icons” — to commemorate this historic moment in our existence as an art publication and to recognize the iconic artists, makers, doers, and dreamers who make Baltimore a culturally vibrant place to live and work.

Baltimore truly is a city of artists. BmoreArt plays a critical role in our cultural ecosystem by providing an independent, regional platform for creative communities to share their work and ideas with new audiences through print and online media, bespoke art books, and events of all kinds.

The BmoreArt Journal of Art + Ideas premiered in 2015 as a beautifully printed, full-color, collectible publication and a release party for 400 guests at Maryland Art Place. Each semiannual (spring and fall) issue is thematic and curated like an exhibition featuring photography, art, and writing by many of Baltimore’s significant artists.

Our release parties for each issue are legendary, hosted in collaboration with Baltimore’s most iconic locations, like the Peabody Library, Engineer’s Club, BMA Sculpture Garden, and the National Aquarium. These events include artists featured in that particular issue, contributors and sponsors, as well as a growing community of subscribing members.

In partnership with the Lord Baltimore Hotel and Ballroom, owned by international art collectors Mera & Don Rubell, BmoreArt’s Icons Issue will feature many of Baltimore’s highest achieving visual artists, filmmakers, fashion designers, culinary artists, organizations, and creative professionals celebrating the shared success of Baltimore as a city of artists.

As we continue to build a collaborative platform for creative and critical discussions and identifying and promoting talent, we appreciate your support in commemorating this milestone in the historic Lord Baltimore Ballroom!
