Spring arrived in full force at Creative Alliance‘s Big Baltimore Kite Fest in Patterson Park on Saturday, April 11. With just enough wind and clear blue skies overhead, Baltimore residents filled the park to celebrate the season together.
Centered around the Patterson Park Observatory, the festival stretched far beyond its official footprint. Gatherings of families, friends, and neighbors extended down the hill toward the football field near the Eastern Avenue. Many participated in kite-making workshops while others arrived with colorful kites at the ready, sending them soaring above the crowd.
Local food trucks, vendors, and a DJ added to the festive atmosphere. The energy was high, the trees in full bloom, and the skies danced with colors. After a long winter, Patterson Park felt awakened and alive—reminding everyone why it remains one of the city’s most beloved gathering places.
