To set the Thanksgiving mood, here is the trailer from ‘Home for the Holidays’ – the best Thanksgiving movie EVER!

In addition to Thanksgiving, it’s Hanukkah! Eat turkey and spin the dreidel! Here’s a song to get everyone psyched by the Maccabeats.

I will admit there aren’t many art openings this weekend, but there are a few great holiday bazaars to get your credit cards warmed up for the impending shopping season. Who wants to shop local this weekend? Do yourself a favor and avoid the mall. Avoid Wal-Mart lines before dawn. Avoid all the crap people buy for holiday gifts. Head to a number of festive, local markets and bazaars where you can purchase local art, jewelry, and other handmade items for your nearest and dearest and support a fabulous, local, creative economy in Baltimore.

Bmoreart recommends several ongoing exhibits at area museums and galleries to check out over the holiday weekend: Egypt’s Mysterious Book of the Faiyum at The Walters, An-My Lê: Front Room and Morris Louis Unveiled at the BMA, Human, Soul, & Machine at The American Visionary Art Museum, John Ruppert at Grimaldis Gallery, and The Sketchbook Exhibit (and 2 more) atSchool 33. Check each website for holiday hours.
