Bmoreart Recommends: Openings Nov. 15 – 18

Short Bio: I was born in Romania. I’ve had always a passion for art. Currently, I am pursuing my MFA at MICA, Rinehart School of Sculpture (2013). Some of my installation and video work are on exhibit in a three person show called “Flux” at MICA’s Fox3 Gallery until the 18th of November. After that, I will have a one person installation in the Student Space Gallery at MICA from November 28th to December 5th. In January, I will travel to the Netherlands for a January Residency Program at Willem de Kooning Academie and present a piece in a group show. My thesis show will be in April at Riggs Gallery in the newly renovated Studio Center. To see my work, my website is http://savu.virb.com/, http://www.mica.edu/Events_and_Exhibitions.html

Name:  MIHAELA SAVU

Baltimore Neighborhood:  MICA (Mount Royal)

Obsessive Collections: Gingko-biloba leaves which I press in-between the pages of the books. I like to find them years later.
