Charm City showed up in all our rainbow colors to celebrate Pride this June 8-14. Block parties, skate parties, dance parties, and more took place across the city.

While some changes to the traditional Pride events and leadership are being debated, the energy of the annual parade on Saturday, June 13, reflected pure joy and solidarity. Crowds flocked to Charles Street, basking in the luck of perfect weather. Area colleges, universities, businesses, non-profits, politicians, and faith communities marched alongside activist and historic grass roots organizations as well as many more supporters of the LGBTQ+ community.

Some of our favorite highlights were the daredevil skaters of Patuxent Roller Derby, Planned Parenthood’s “Don’t screw with us, don’t screw without us” swag, performances by the Marching Elite joined by the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund, the whip-cracking leather daddies of the Baltimore Eagle, and the hot studs of the Baltimore City Fire Department hurling T-shirts to the crowd from a rainbow-festooned fire truck.

Lucky for us, we have gorgeous photos by Devon Rowland to remember it by. Happy Pride!
