Opening Reception October 4 from 5-7
Richman Gallery
The Park School of Baltimore

course/discourse was curated for Park School’s centennial year. One hundred years ago, The 1913 Armory Show changed the future of the visual art world. course/discourse reflects the spirit of experimentation and change of The 1913 Armory Show. The work of the 23 participating artists displays a range of media and content that demonstrates the possibilities of contemporary art practices – from painting to video, and sculpture to installation.

course/discourse brings to the viewer examples to the possibilities of meaningful creative practices that take their cues from art history. These contemporary artists, like those at The 1913 Armory, explore, interpret, and discover, and re-explore, re-interpret, and re-discover, the shock of the new. – Rick Delaney Guest Curator
