AI and the Written Word: Open Discussion for Writers and Poets
Manor Mill
2029 Monkton Road
Monkton, MD
We’ll host an open conversation about the ethics of AI in literature, what it means for copyright and intellectual property, and how we can preserve what’s definitively human. We’ll discuss what it means to use AI as a “collaborator”—whether that’s overcoming writer’s block, brainstorming plot points, formatting research, or editing your work.
Come with your big questions: Where does the machine end and the author begin? When, if ever, is it ethical to use AI in writing? What does AI mean for the future of storytelling?
This is an open discussion. All opinions and experience levels welcome. The discussion will be moderated by Bo Willse and Angelo Otterbein.
