Join us to celebrate the opening of Much Here Is Beautiful: Photography Surveys of the U.S. Bicentennial for a look back at the nation in the years surrounding 1976. This collection of striking images captures communities across the nation during a series of regional photographic projects funded by the National Endowment for the Arts in celebration of the bicentennial. Photographers Terry Evans, Eric Baden, Sage Sohier, Wendy Ewald, Ted Wathen, Gary Monroe, Tom Arndt, Lewis Koch, Penny Wolin, Anthony Hernandez, Mark Klett, and Janet Delaney will be in the galleries to converse with attendees along with exhibition organizers John P. Jacob, the McEvoy Family Senior Curator for Photography, and Krystle Stricklin, assistant curator of photography.
