Join the Apartheid Free Baltimore Campaign and the SNF Parkway Theatre for a screening of the investigative documentary Pistachio Wars, followed by a panel discussion featuring local organizers, exploring how we can use our collective power to challenge the hidden forces of corporate power.

Pistachio Wars follows journalist Yasha Levine as he begins looking into a small-town water deal, a search that leads him to the powerful empire of billionaires Stewart and Lynda Resnick—owners of The Wonderful Company and dominant players in the global pistachio market. What begins as a local inquiry quickly expands into a far-reaching exposé of environmental harm, water exploitation, and corporate corruption. The film examines how The Wonderful Company has leveraged its power beyond agriculture, including influencing hardline U.S. foreign policy toward Iran in ways that protect the global dominance of its pistachio empire. From drought-stricken communities to the global stage, the story reveals how interconnected systems of power shape our food, our water, and our world—and invites us to ask who benefits, and at what cost.

Come early (starting at 6pm) for a resource fair featuring local organizations and active campaigns, and discover how you can get involved in the important work happening across Baltimore. Representatives from Diáspora Pa’lante Collective, Baltimore Abolition Movement,  The Black Alliance for Peace, Jewish Voice for Peace/Break the Bonds Campaign, Greater Baltimore DSA, Palestinian Youth Movement, Mera Kitchen Collective, and others will be present.

Apartheid Free Baltimore is a coalition of the Greater Baltimore Democratic Socialists of America, the Palestinian Youth Movement, and Jewish Voice for Peace, whose goal is to promote Palestinian solidarity through boycotts, divestment, and sanctions (BDS).
