Celebrate the close of summer with Opera Baltimore at a Jonestown community festival built around music, history, and conversation.

In partnership with the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture, the Jewish Museum of Maryland, and the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House & Museum, this festival celebrates the rich diversity, traditions, and stories embedded within and between Baltimore’s Black and Jewish communities.

Come for the free daytime festival, stay for a late afternoon reception and concert at the Lewis.

DAYTIME FESTIVAL | FREE ADMISSION

Music, neighbors, and a walk through Jonestown.

From 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, enjoy free pop-up performances, connect with Black- and Jewish-owned businesses and community leaders from across Baltimore, and take a walking tour of Jonestown.

The daytime festival is hosted by the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House & Museum, with walking tours connecting key historic sites between the Reginald F. Lewis Museum and the Jewish Museum of Maryland.

LATE AFTERNOON RECEPTION & CONCERT

The celebration continues at the Lewis.

The afternoon continues with a reception and concert at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, featuring baritone Daniel Rich and soprano Sara Duchovnay. The program will also include a display of artifacts from the collections of both the Lewis Museum and the Jewish Museum, highlighting the cultural intersections of Baltimore’s Black and Jewish communities.
