“Walls that Recall”: Tapestry & Printmaking  w/Vetiver

Grounded in sacred spaces and inspired by African diasporic and ancestral traditions of working with land and plant spirits, “Walls that Recall” turns to block printing as a way of preserving cultural practice and personal narrative — printed with pre-carved wood blocks and working with natural pigments made from plants.

Over two sessions, participants first build a community tapestry together and practice natural dyeing, then move into individual printing — — each person leaving with their own block-printed textile tapestry piece.

The workshop marks the launch of Vetiver’s Roots Design Studio, grounded in African diasporic and ancestral traditions of working with land.
