The Baker Artist Portfolios is pleased to announce the Finalists for the 2016 Baker Artist Awards. Of the 684 Portfolios submitted this year, these 39 artists have been selected by an anonymous jury for exemplifying a dedication to art, mastery of craft, and a commitment to excellence.

From this collection, 5 artists will be chosen to win this years awards:
-The $50,000 Mary Sawyers Imboden prize
-The $20,000 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize
-One of Three $5,000 Prizes: Nancy Haragan Awards, Semmes G. Walsh Award, and the Board of Governors Award

The winners of the 2016 Baker Artist Awards will be announced on Thursday, May 12th on a special episode of Maryland Public Television’s Artworks program, and will also receive an exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art in the summer of 2016.
