Bio: George Ciscle has mounted exhibitions, created community arts programs, and taught courses in the fine arts and humanities for over 40 years. As Curator-in-Residence at MICA, he created the Exhibition Development Seminar, a course designed to provide artists with the opportunity to learn all aspects of the process of producing an exhibition and recently introduced an undergraduate Concentration in Curatorial Studies. He is currently directing the new MFA in Curatorial Practice, which started in Fall 2011. 
Ciscle was previously the founder and director of The Contemporary Museum, which focused its exhibitions, educational programming, and community outreach on connecting the artist’s work with people’s everyday lives. Ciscle received a B.A. in English from Loyola University and an M.Ed in Human Development and Learning from the University of North Carolina.

Favorite Baltimore spot to hang out: Station North Arts Cafe. The friendly staff, warm atmosphere and home cooking always make me feel welcome and comfortable . It attracts artists and residents from the neighborhood who aways provide stimulating conversation.
