This year’s tour is on October 22nd and 23rd, from 10am to 6pm, with an exhibit at the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower that all participants are invited to participate in and a kick-off celebration in Hamilton/ Lauraville on October 21st from 6-9pm.

Artists of all disciplines open their doors during this two-day citywide event and let the public into their studios. It is an excellent opportunity to let folks into your creative process. Use OST as an excuse to straighten up the studio a bit, show off your newest work, invite friends and patrons to stop by and to celebrate and promote yourself. In the past Open Studio Tour has been a celebrated highlight of the year. In 2009 Open Studio Tour received Baltimore Magazine’s “Best of Baltimore” award, voted the best opportunity to buy art “directly from the artist”; a number of artists have sold work during the event. We are making a big push to increase participation and attendance this year; our goal is an Open Studio Tour that truly reflects and celebrates our diverse and dynamic arts community.

The Paper map is back! Open Studio Tour will have a paper map printed for 2011 along with online mapping done through School 33 Art Center’s website. The paper map, sponsored by City Paper, will be included in all circulated copies of the City Paper the week of Open Studio Tour.

We have also lowered the prices for artists participate; we want this to be bigger and better than ever, so please join us. There are special rates for galleries, members of School 33 Art Center and for buildings with 5 or more participants.

Please call or email with any questions. Visit our website for addition information and to register.
The deadline for registration is September 2, 2011.
