In Mind’s Eye, at Gallery B in Bethesda, John Bodkin’s works range from small works on paper to large oil paintings. His abstract style is free and colorful, sometimes raw and earthy. He incorporates elements of street art, spray paint entwined without concern with traditional oil paint because he “wants to speak in a voice that is central in our society.”

He has taught at Pepperdine University, Malibu, and Cameron State College in Lawton, OK. and in numerous private and community classes. He has judged and been a curator of many shows. John operated and directed the American Contemporary Gallery in Annapolis. John and his wife Beth currently reside in Annapolis, MD where he practices his work full time.
