BmoreArt News: Julia Alexander, Baltimore Banner, [...]

Baltimore’s North Avenue Market was in the spotlight on Friday, March 28 when artist Zoë Charlton and community leaders unveiled a work of art, “Third Watch,” that she created and installed there.

Part of the $1 million Inviting Light initiative that Bloomberg Philanthropies has funded to help revitalize the Station North Arts and Entertainment District, “Third Watch” is the first of five temporary installations that will be unveiled around the arts district over the course of 2025. A lighting ceremony for Charlton’s work at the North Avenue Market, was hosted with big crowds, programming, and performances, with the lights officially going on around 7:45.

For in-depth coverage and analysis, read our article about the project here by Kathy O’Dell: Inviting Light, A Prismatic Public Arts Initiative Hits the Switch. Follow along with Inviting Light via their website and social media.
